...but expats say they're still very much on hold in Australia 

Americans living in the UK and France who have been waiting for more than two years to relinquish, or give up, their U.S. citizenships are now once again able to do so, as the U.S. offices that handle such relinquishments in these countries have at last reopened.

American expatriates living in Australia are described as being "uncertain" to "cautiously optimistic" about the prospects for making their case about the need for the U.S. to address problems inherent in the current U.S./Australia tax treaty to Caroline Kennedy, whom U.S. President Joe Biden has nominated to be the country's next ambassador.

Focus Financial Partners, the NASDAQ-listed, New York-based partnership of independent, fiduciary wealth management firms that has been growing rapidly since it was founded in 2004, has said it is planning to borrow US$800 million to enable it to acquire more wealth management businesses, both within and outside of the U.S.
