ProPublica, the New York-based, non-profit investigative media organization that last year published a series of investigative articles exposing certain under-the-radar ways some wealthy individuals have been using in recent years to avoid having to pay taxes, is this evening hosting an online "virtual event" entitled "The Bllionaire Playbook", which it says will "seek to unpack" President Biden's recently-unveiled plans to address such tax-avoidance strategies.

Between the 2021 tax reporting season that is still underway (most U.S. expats have until June 15 rather than an April deadline to file, of course), and President Biden's just-unveiled so-called "Green Book" of 2023 revenue proposals, there sure is a lot out there to talk about right now...

While news websites and newspapers continue to review, analyze and publish opinions based on ProPublica's recent and comprehensive research report on the relatively insignificant income taxes certain of Americas wealthiest Americans have been found to be paying, Republican politicians in Washington are, in their own words, "demanding answers," even as IRS commissioner Charles Rettig has assured them and others that the matter is being thoroughly investigated. 

A major analysis of IRS documents by ProPublica – a New York-based, non-profit investigative journalism organization – has shown how some of America's wealthiest and best-known citizens managed to avoid paying almost any federal income taxes between 2014 and 2018.
