Are you a financial adviser (or even 'Registered Investment Advisor') with experience looking after American expatriate clients? Are American expat taxes your thing?
Are you a recent college graduate looking to enter either the U.S. expat advisory or U.S. tax specialist advice industries?
Below are some of the companies that are currently known to be hiring...
American Tax Returns Ltd, a West London-based firm of dually U.S.- and UK-qualified tax advisers which prepares both U.S. and UK tax returns, and which offers fee-based “joined-up” American and British tax advice, is looking to hire U.S. tax specialists who are interested in taking advantage of what it says is "an excellent opportunity to join and shape the direction of a fast-growing specialist firm."
The firm's clients include Americans in the U.K. of all ages and backgrounds and incomes, including a significant number of academics. In addition, American Tax Returns also helps people who are in the process of catching up with their U.S. filing requirements.
Dunhill Financial, a Brussels-based advisory firm which specializes in looking after American expatriate clients, is hiring, and says it is flexible about the location of the person it is looking to recruit.
What it is looking for, it says, is "a highly-motivated individual who can work independently and is a self-starter."
Other qualifications it says are "essential" include "extensive knowledge of the financial services industry"; a genuine "desire to help individuals navigate the unique aspects of cross-border financial planning"; "curiosity"; and a "drive to constantly improve and learn new things."
The role would see the successful applicant getting started by helping the firm's senior advisers with the onboarding of new clients, to get a better understanding of Dunhill's "niche market".
Over time, the applicant would begin to work more independently, with the ultimate goal being that they would build their own book of business and network, to ultimately begin act as an adviser to their own growing list of clients.
As reported here in September, Dunhill recently opened an outpost in Florida, its first outside of Belgium, to accommodate the growing numbers of its clients who were returning to the States after completing their overseas assignments in Europe.
Dunhill Financial is Securities and Exchange Commission-regulated, and in 2016 it became the first SEC-regulated member of the Federation of European Independent Financial Advisers, a London-based trade organization of advisory firms.
