Elisabeth Martin, vice president of research and technology at Boeing China, will be among the featured speakers at this year's third annual AmCham China Women Economy Summit in Beijing.
This year’s summit is entitled "Advancing Women's Prism – Closing the Gap," and comes as the American Chamber of Commerce in China is marking its 100th anniversary with a series of special events.
The all-day event will look to "examine international, regional and national best practices towards producing concrete steps companies can take to foster a healthy gender balance, inspire female employees to reach their full potential, and unleash the power of the women economy," AmCham China said.
Other speakers will include Robert W. Forden, deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing; Clare Fearnley, ambassador, New Zealand Embassy; Fernando Vallina, chairman, ExxonMobil (China); Jennifer Chisholm, family doctor, Raffles Medical, Beijing; Su Cheng Harris Simpson, board of governors, AmCham China; and Jenny Yang, vice president of United Family Healthcare.
This annual summit for women is said by AmCham China to be the the largest gathering of women leaders in the AmCham China community, "with a mission to raise awareness of the key role women play in global economic development."
